M.Tech Programme : Applied Physics, Civil & Environmental Engineering Electrical Engineering Electronics & Communication Engineering Mechanical & Production Engineering ,Computer Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Bio-technology

Ph.D Programme: Civil & Environmental Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Mechanical & Production Engineering / Computer Engineering / Information Technology / Polymer Science & Chemical Technology / Bio-technology Engineering / Applied Chemistry / Applied Mathematics / Applied Physics / Management and Humanities.

Educational Qualification:

M.Tech. (CE/EE/ME/PE): A candidate must have passed the Bachelor's Degree Examination in the appropriate branch of engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Production / Electronics & Communication / Civil / Control & Instrumentation/ Computer Engineering/ Information Technology with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized University or any other Examination recognized by the University Equivalent thereto.OR A candidate must have passed in the A.M. I.E. (India) Exam, with appropriate specialization/ Grade I.E. T.E. (India) A.M.I.E. (London) A.M.I. Mech. Engg. (London) A.M.I. Structure Engineering, any other examination in the concerned branch recognized as equivalent to B.Tech. by the University.A candidate for admission to full time program must have qualified in the GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering).

Ph.D Programme: The minimum eligibility conditions for the admission to Ph.D. Program in DTU are as follows: For Engineering Disciplines : Degree in Master of Engineering I Master of Technology (M.E./ M.Tech.) in the appropriate branch from a recognised University I Institution with Minimum 60% marks. For Applied Sciences: Degree in Master of Science (M.Sc.) in the appropriate branch from a recognised University I Institution, minimum 60% marks. For Humanities & Management : Master’s degree in Management, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Humanities from a recognized Indian University or equivalent post graduate degree with at least 60% marks.

Selection Procedure:

M.Tech : All the applications received will be short listed on the basis of performance in GATE and qualifying examination for Full-time and Part-time Programs respectively. The short listed candidates will be called for interviews as per the following schedule.
Interview for part time candidates: 10.00 a.m Monday,04.07.2011
Interview for full time candidates: 10.00 a.m Tuesday, 05.07.2011

Ph.D: The eligible candidates will be called for test and personal interview in Delhi Technological University for which no TA/DA will be admissible. The selection for full time Ph.D. Scholars will be made by the University Research Council comprising of the Deans and all HODs chaired by the nominee of the Vice-Chancellor.The selected candidates will be required to pay the fees etc. after getting intimation of their selection.

How To Apply:

The applicants shortlisted for Ph. D Program are required to appear in the Entrance examination and those applicants who will qualify in the entrance examination will be allowed to appear in the interview. Exemption from appearance in the entrance examination shall be as per the Ph. D ordinance of the University, the details of which are available on the website: www.dce.edu  . NET qualified candidates having UGC/CSIR Scholarship can also be considered for admission to full-time Ph. D programs.The application form can be downloaded from DTU website: www.dce.edu  and the duly filled application form be submitted in the University along-with a demand draft of Rs. 1,000/- on or before the last date of receipt of completed application form. The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of “Registrar, Delhi Technological University”, payable at “Delhi”.
