Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research an autonomous research institution under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India invites applications for the following posts:

Technical Assistant (Computer Laboratory)

No. of Posts: 01 (UR)
Essential qualification: A Master’s Degree in Science or Bachelor’s Degree Engineering (Computer Science/Information Technology) from a recognized University.
Experience: Minimum Two years experience as a Systems Engineer/Administrator in a reputed establishment.
Desirable: A Red Hat Certified Engineer Diploma; Diploma in networking and hardware maintenance
Age: Below 30 years
Pay Band and Grade Pay: Rs.9300-34800 GP:Rs.4600
Job requirements: The selected candidate is required to assist the computer lab with hardware/software support and assist in networking and any other related work assigned from time to time.

Technical Assistant (Instrumentation)

Essential qualification: A Master’s Degree in Science or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Instrumentation) from a recognized University.
Experience: Two years experience in a reputed research establishment handling equipment and instrumentation facility for research purposes.
Desirable: A diploma in relevant field
Age: Below 30 years
No. of posts: 01 (UR)
Pay Band and Grade Pay: Rs.9300-34800 GP: Rs.4600
Job requirements: The candidate is required to maintain the scientific instruments in the biological laboratories and liaise with the equipment/instrument maintenance contract agencies and any other assignment given from time to time.

Junior Laboratory Assistant

Essential qualification: A Government recognized Diploma in Electronics from a recognised institution.
Desirable: A Degree in science/engineering from a recognized university
Experience: Two to three years experience in handling audio visual and other related equipment as also assistance rendered in a laboratory of a reputed research establishment.
Age: Below 30 years
No. of posts: 01 (UR)
Pay Band and Grade Pay: Rs.5200-20200 GP: Rs.2400
Job requirements: The candidate is required to handle multimedia system which includes maintaining projectors, audio recording and related softwares. Provide technical support for conferences, seminars, etc and liaise with the users and vendors of the equipment. Also, provide any help required in the laboratories.

Assistants Grade-II

Essential qualification: 12th Class or equivalent qualification from a recognized Board or University. A typing speed of 35 w.p.m.in English using computer. Knowledge of office related computer applications including document generation, web browsing, bookkeeping. The candidate should be adept at multi-tasking with good verbal/written communication.
Experience: Two to three years in an establishment section of reputed organization.
Desirable: (i) A Government recognized diploma in Secretarial Practice with prior experience as administrative support personnel
Age: Below 27 years
No. of posts: 04 (ST:1; OBC-1; UR-2)
Pay Band and Grade Pay: Rs.5200-20200 GP: Rs.1900
Job Requirements: The candidate is expected to handle correspondence independently and discharge a variety of administrative duties including filing, letter writing, sorting post, securing information from web, maintaining records and operation of office equipment like photocopier and fax. Any other related duties assigned from time to time.
