Indian Institute of Technology, Around 4.85 lakh students appeared for the joint entrance examination of the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT-JEE) Sunday for 9,600 seats in 15 premier institutions.

The exam will be held in two sessions - from 9 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 5 pm- across 1,051 centres in 131 cities across the country, an official statement said. The results will be declared May 25, 2011.
