NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) 2015 for the session 2015-16

Online applications are invited for NERIST Entrance Examination (NEE) 2015 to be conducted by the North Eastern Regional Institute of Science & Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh for Base (Certificate), Diploma & Degree Courses in Technology streams and also Degree course in Forestry.

(Notice) Document Required For Examination of JEE (Main) - 2014

All the candidates must bring with them a copy of document (as per following applicable criteria) on the day of their JEE (Main) - 2014 examination and submit the same to the invigilator at the examination centre. This is in addition to the candidates bringing their Admit Card for JEE (Main) 2014.

Note: Candidate must write Roll No. of JEE (Main) 2014, as shown below, on the top right corner of the copy  of the document and submit to the invigilator at the Centre in support of class 12th/Qualifying  examination.

The 2nd Joint Engineering Entrance Examination [JEE (Main)] is to be conducted in pen  & paper mode on 6th April 2014. In computer mode, this examination is to be conducted on  9,11,12 & 19th April 2014. The different sets of question papers are used on the different dates of  the examination. It is brought to the notice of all stakeholders of this examination that the subject  experts who have prepared these question papers have certified that the entire syllabus of  Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry has been covered in each question set by dividing the  syllabus of each subject into appropriate number of units and choosing equal number of  questions from each unit. Further, in every set, each subject carries the same percentage of easy,  medium and difficult questions. This ensures the same difficulty level of each set of question  paper for this year 2014 also, as per practice of the Board in the year 2012 & 2013.

Admit Card of JEE (Main) - 2014

The Central Board of Secondary Education will be conducting the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) - 2014 in Pen and Paper mode at different centres located in 150 cities throughout the country and abroad on 6th April, 2014 (Sunday). The computer based examination of Paper – I of JEE (Main) – 2014 will be conducted at different centres located in 281 cities throughout the country and abroad on 9,11,12 and 19thApril, 2014. The Admit Cards of the candidates (who have paid the fees) have been uploaded on the JEE website jeemain.nic.in. The candidates are advised to upload their board particulars first and then download the admit card of JEE (Main). The discrepancy in the Admit Card, if any, may be brought to the notice of the Board through E-mail (jeemain(at)nic.in) latest by 27.03.2014. In case any applicant is not able to download his/her e-Admit card, he/she may contact CBSE Helpline No.: 8506061072,73,75,76 77 between (10.00am to 5.30 pm) on working days during working hours. The candidates may note that no other paper Admit Card will be issued and sent by post.

The SMS and e-mail to such candidates in this regard are being sent on their registered mobile phones and mail-id. Only these candidates have to log-in the JEE (Main) website and upload the concerned image(s) properly. The facility to re-upload the concerned image(s) will be available till 25/01/2014.

Subject: Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) - 2013 for Admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in IITs, NITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, etc.

Based on the discussions held amongst the various stakeholders. it h<l.s been decided to hold a Joint Entrance Examination from 2013 for admission to the undergraduate programmes in engineering in two parts, JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced).

The revised scheme of examination is as follow:

  • Name of the examination shall be Joint Entrance Examination(JEE)
  • JEE shall be held in two parts - JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced). }- Now, AlEEE will be known as JEE (Main) and IlT-JEE as JEE (Advanced)
  • All candidates shall take JEE (Main). JEE (Main) shall be gateway for JEE (Advanced)
  • Only the top 150,000 candidates (including all categories as per resetvation policy) based on performance in JEE (Main), will qualify to appear in the JEE (Advanced) examination. Admission to IITs will be based only on category wise All India Rank in JEE (Advanced), subject to condition that such candidates are in the top 20 percentile of successful candidates in Class Xll equivalent examination conducted by their Boards in applicable categories.

About:

  • The Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) is a common qualifying test for admissions to Ph.D. programmes in Physics at premier Indian research institutions (see Participating Institutes) and a Ph.D. programme in Theoretical Computer Science at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences.

  • Using JEST results, each institute will call a limited number of candidates for its own selection procedure depending, on its requirements.
    All selected candidates will receive Research Fellowships from the respective institutes.

  • The JEST exam is used to shortlist candidates and does not automatically entitle an applicant to get a Research Fellowship.

The student should be passed in 12th class from a recognized board with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Those who have to give the final year exams of the qualifying exam can also apply for AIEEE provided their result has to be out by the time of counseling.

Eligibility Criteria:

The minimum academic qualification for appearing in AIEEE 2012 is that the candidate must have passed in final examination of 10+2 (Class XII) or its equivalent referred to as the qualifying examination (see Appendix – IX). Those appearing in 10+2 (Class XII) final or equivalent examination in 2012 may also appear in AIEEE 2012 provisionally.

Scheme of Examination:

Entrance examination would consist of two papers i.e. 1st paper consisting of three parts of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics of equal weight age with objective type questions for B.E/B.Tech courses in offline/online mode and 2nd paper – consisting of Mathematics, Aptitude Test and Drawing for B. Architecture and B. Planning in offline mode. The Aptitude Test is designed to evaluate candidate’s perception, imagination, observation, creativity and architectural awareness.

Joint Entrance Examination, IIT-JEE - 2012

Admit Card

The admit card will bear the name, application number, registration number, photograph, signature, date of birth, address, language of Question Paper, category and subcategory of the candidate, along with name and address of the IIT-JEE 2012 Examination Centre allotted.

The admit cards will be sent by Speed Post to the address mentioned in the Application Form only to all those eligible candidates who have submitted valid Application Forms, complete in all respects and received at IITs within the stipulated period and are found to be eligible as per criteria. JEE office will not be responsible for any postal delay or irregularity resulting in non-delivery of the Admit Card.  No duplicate admit card will be issued.

You should carefully examine the Admit Card received by you for all the entries made therein. In case of any discrepancy, you should inform the issuing institute immediately. You must bring the admit card to the examination centre. Only those candidates, who hold valid Admit cards, will be allowed to write the examination.
